Basketball Recap: Grace Community's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Grace Community had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Tarkington Longhorns by a score of 71-63 on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cougars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 626th, while the Longhorns are ranked 218th).

Grace Community now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Tarkington, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.

Grace Community and Kemp will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tarkington, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-45 win against Pittsburg on the 13th.
