Soccer Recap: Wheatmore's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Wheatmore kept a clean sheet against North Stanly on Tuesday. They blew past the Comets 9-0. Considering Wheatmore have won four contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting North Stanly from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Carter Queen led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for four goals all by himself.

The win (which was Wheatmore's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those four games. As for North Stanly, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Coincidentally, Wheatmore and North Stanly will both be playing South Davidson the next time they take the pitch. The Comets will head out to face the Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 10th.
