Basketball Recap: Victory Christian's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Victory Christian suffered their closest loss since February 15, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Suffolk Christian Academy Knights by a score of 38-35. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Knights earlier this season, when they won 39-34.

Luke Ott was his usual excellent self, putting up 20 points and five boards for Suffolk Christian Academy. That makes it ten consecutive games in which Ott has scored at least a third of Suffolk Christian Academy's points. Jason Hernandez was another key player, scoring 12 points and five rebounds.

Victory Christian's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7. As for Suffolk Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Bethel Assembly Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Victory Christian will host Bethel Assembly Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th, while Suffolk Christian Academy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th.
