Football Recap: Pinson Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four matchups, Pinson Valley finally came back down to earth on Friday. They had to suffer through a 42-6 loss at the hands of the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies. The contest marked the Indians' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Hewitt-Trussville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Floyd, who rushed for 67 yards and one TD on only seven carries, and also threw for 150 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 86.7% of his passes. Another receiver making a difference was Dylan Cope, who picked up 98 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Pinson Valley's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Hewitt-Trussville, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinson Valley will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Mountain Brook at 7:00 p.m. on October 9. As for Hewitt-Trussville, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Thompson at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Huskies 6.8, the Warriors 10.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
