Basketball Recap: Wilson's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wilson had no problem doing just that on Monday. They took down the Central Wildcats 50-36. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Wildcats are ranked 269th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Central lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Isla Hardy, who posted 16 points and five boards. Hardy is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jill Huffaker, who earned seven points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

The victory snapped Wilson's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 21-7 record. As for Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

Wilson has already played their next contest, a 55-36 loss against Deshler on the 4th. Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
