Baseball Game Preview: Poly Bears vs. Paloma Valley Wildcats

Poly hasn't had much luck against Paloma Valley recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Bears will head out on the road to take on the Wildcats at 3:15 p.m. The last three games Poly has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Poly made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Arlington, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bears fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bears have suffered since February 22nd.

Jacob DeVincenzo was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, Paloma Valley entered their tilt with Valley View on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Eagles.

Paloma Valley's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Poly, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-10.
