Preview: Clearview Clippers vs. Keystone Wildcats

Clearview has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Tuesday. They will take on the Keystone Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Clearview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.

Clearview pushed their score all the way to 76, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 86-76 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brookside. While losing is never fun, Clearview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 621st, while Brookside is ranked 304th).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ayden Cruz, who scored 20 points along with six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jai Walton, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Keystone entered their tilt with Oberlin with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Keystone simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Oberlin 66-34 on the road. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-14.

Clearview bumped their record down to 0-3 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Keystone, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Clearview strolled past Keystone in their previous matchup back in February by a score of 68-51. Will Clearview repeat their success, or does Keystone have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
