Football Recap: Fort Walton Beach Comes Up Short on the Road Against Tate + How To Watch

Fort Walton Beach had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They received a blow as they fell 21-7 to the Tate Aggies. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Cannon Wilbur threw for 96 yards and one touchdown. Eli Crozier was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tate to victory, but perhaps none more so than Elijah West, who picked up 90 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 77 yards. Tate also got a significant boost from Tanner Clark, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 88 yards.

Looking ahead, Fort Walton Beach will challenge South Walton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tate, they will face off against Gulf Breeze at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
