Soccer Recap: Farmington Comes Up Short

Farmington came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Wasatch Wasps, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, Farmington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Wasatch are ranked ninth).

Farmington's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-4. As for Wasatch, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Farmington wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Syracuse on the 16th. As for Wasatch, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Spanish Fork on the 15th.
