Baseball Game Preview: Denver North Vikings vs. Vista PEAK Prep Bison

The Denver North Vikings are taking a road trip to square off against the Vista PEAK Prep Bison at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Denver North lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Denver South, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Vikings blew past the Ravens 9-1 on Tuesday. The Vikings not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 14, 2024.

Meanwhile, Vista PEAK Prep waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Angels get on the board and left with an 8-0 win. The Bison might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by eight runs or more this season.

Not much got past Abel Salinas, who gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks to keep Denver East off the board.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Eric Houser, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Vista PEAK Prep is undefeated when Houser posts two or more runs, but 4-7 otherwise.

Denver North's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Vista PEAK Prep, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Denver North came out on top in a nail-biter against Vista PEAK Prep when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-2. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Bison have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
