Basketball Preview: University Lab Cubs vs. Episcopal Knights
University Lab has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Episcopal Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Episcopal took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on University Lab, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, University Lab didn't have too much trouble with the Tigers on the road as they won 52-38. Given University Lab's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while the Tigers are ranked 206th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Episcopal, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-52 loss to the Spartans on Saturday. Episcopal has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
University Lab pushed their record up to 21-7 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Episcopal, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-11 record this season.
University Lab might still be hurting after the 43-23 defeat they got from the Knights in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can University Lab avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
