Softball Recap: Narragansett's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Narragansett extended their winning streak to six on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 11-4 in the process. Everything went their way against the Central Knights as they made off with a 16-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Mariners, who have now won ten games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Grace Blessing was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Reidy Briana, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI.

Narragansett was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .588. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .385 or higher in six consecutive matchups.

As for Central, they dropped their record down to 9-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Central's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danna Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Narragansett has already played their next contest, a 16-0 victory against Central Falls on the 20th. As for Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-8 win against Hope on the 15th.
