Softball Recap: St. Joseph's Academy Comes Up Short

St. Joseph's Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 6-3 to the Ascension Catholic Bulldogs. The Redstickers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

St. Joseph's Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nealy Estave, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Shelby Chenevert also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

St. Joseph's Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Ascension Catholic, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Coming up, St. Joseph's Academy will be playing at home against E.D. White at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ascension Catholic, they will face off against University Lab at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. One thing working in University Lab's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
