Volleyball Recap: Pinecrest Glades Academy Takes a Loss

Pinecrest Glades Academy lost against Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Dragons lost 3-0 to the Stallions.

Elaine Prieto paced Pinecrest Glades Academy's offense, picking up four kills. Prieto got some help from Ana Otero and her five assists. Finally, Prieto was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Pinecrest Glades Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Somerset Academy (Silver Palms), the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-3.

Looking ahead, Pinecrest Glades Academy will challenge Hialeah Educational Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Somerset Academy (Silver Palms), they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Somerset Academy South Homestead on the 9th.
