Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Social Circle). They claimed a resounding 56-17 victory over the McNair Mustangs. That's more bragging rights for the Redskins, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Social Circle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Christian Paggett led the charge by rushing for 131 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Paggett's longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. King Box was in the mix as well, providing Social Circle with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Social Circle was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 354 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The win was the third in a row for Social Circle, bringing their record up to 5-2. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.7 points over those games. As for McNair, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Social Circle will square off against Jasper County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Hurricanes' defense has only allowed 12.4 points per game this season, so the Redskins' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for McNair, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Towers at 6:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
