Baseball Recap: Hurricane Comes Up Short

Hurricane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pine View Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Tigers have suffered since May 3, 2024.

Hurricane saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zane Staley, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Hurricane's record is now 6-15. As for Pine View, they moved to 11-11-1 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

While Hurricane had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
