Football Game Preview: Evangelical Christian vs. Marco Island Academy

Evangelical Christian will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Marco Island Academy at 7:00 PM. Evangelical Christian are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the match prepared for a fight.

Everything came up roses for Evangelical Christian against Shorecrest Prep last Friday as the team secured a 42-7 victory. Evangelical Christian found their leader in underclassman sophomore Jerren Robinson, who rushed for 167 yards and 3 touchdowns. That makes it three straight good games in a row from Robinson.

Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Marco Island Academy, and their matchup last Friday only extended their streak of losses to six. They suffered a grim 14-48 defeat to Gateway Charter.

Evangelical Christian's win lifted them to 4-4 while Marco Island Academy's loss dropped them down to 0-6. We'll find out if Evangelical Christian can add another positive mark to their record or if Marco Island Academy can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Evangelical Christian's step.
