Baseball Recap: Bishop Ward Comes Up Short

Bishop Ward lost against Lansing on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cyclones took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Cyclones have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bishop Ward's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Lansing, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bishop Ward will host Wellsville on Tuesday. The Cyclones are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Lansing, they will face off against Shawnee Heights on Tuesday. The Thunderbirds will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight.
