After a string of four wins, Rosary Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They lost 3-0 to the Saint Francis Lancers.

When it comes to explaining why Rosary Academy lost, don't look at Leila Teves. Despite the final result, she had 12 assists and three digs. Teves is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Rosary Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Saint Francis, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Rosary Academy and Saint Francis should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Royals will square off against Santa Monica at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (111 vs. 258). Meanwhile, Saint Francis (ranked 19th) will meet Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory (ranked 87th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
