Football Game Preview: Springfield vs. Oxbow

On Friday Springfield take on Oxbow at 7:00 PM. Springfield are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.

After a disappointing 8 points in their last game, Springfield made sure to put some points up on the board against Missisquoi Valley last Saturday. Springfield put the hurt on Missisquoi Valley with a sharp 38-8 win. The Springfield offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the contest anyway.

Meanwhile, after a big victory against Mt. St. Joseph Academy two weeks ago, Oxbow came back down to earth. Oxbow were completely outmatched, falling 0-46 to Windsor. Oxbow's low-scoring loss was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the match before.

Springfield's victory lifted them to 2-3 while Oxbow's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. We'll see if Springfield's success rolls on or if Oxbow are able to steal their positive momentum.
