Football Recap: R-S Central Turns Things Around After Road Loss + How To Watch

There's no place like home for R-S Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 36-22 victory over the West Caldwell Warriors on Friday. The Hilltoppers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

The critical scores for R-S Central came from CJ Sparks, Kaleb McEntyre, Mason Conard, Aaiyden Swepson, and Elmer Littlejohn.

R-S Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 228 rushing yards. They are 4-2 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

West Caldwell lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Danial Bloom, who rushed for 112 yards and one score on only 15 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. Joshton Blankenship was another key player, throwing for 155 yards and one TD.

R-S Central has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.2 points over those games. As for West Caldwell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. R-S Central will welcome East Rutherford at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers' defense has only allowed 13.2 points per game this season, so the Hilltoppers' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for West Caldwell, they will host Hibriten at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight contests.
