Baseball Recap: Williamson Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Williamson was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against the Cowanesque Valley Indians, falling 12-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost four in a row.

Williamson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sawyer Carleton, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Carleton has posted since back in April of 2024.

Williamson now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Cowanesque Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Williamson will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Canton at 4:30 p.m. As for Cowanesque Valley, they are taking a road trip to take on Sayre at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
