Volleyball Game Preview: Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Lions vs. Chardon Hilltoppers

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin hasn't had much luck against Chardon recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lions will square off against the Hilltoppers at 6:00 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They lost 3-0 to Cuyahoga Falls.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-5, 25-6.

Meanwhile, Chardon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Mayfield, falling 3-0.

While Chardon had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-18, 25-20.

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Chardon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Chardon in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
