Volleyball Recap: Williston Takes Down Trenton in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Williston had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They came out on top against the Trenton Tigers by a score of 3-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Red Devils, who have now won three matches in a row.

Kai Gowland paced Williston's offense, picking up 13 kills. Gowland got some help from Kailey Davis and her 16 assists. Amelia Smith controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Williston's win bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Trenton, they moved to 12-13 with that defeat, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Williston will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on the 25th.
