Lake Mary and Oviedo are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2018, but likely not for long. The Rams will square off against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Mary has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 4.

Things were looking good for Lake Mary after they put the first runs on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Lake Howell, falling 12-5.

Lake Mary saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabby Reyes, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Oviedo was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lake Howell. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Silverhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Lake Mary's loss dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Oviedo, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-17.

Lake Mary came out on top in a nail-biter against Oviedo in their previous meeting back in March, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
