Softball Recap: Franklin-Simpson Takes a Loss

Franklin-Simpson made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Greenwood, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Wildcats fell just short of the Gators by a score of 8-6 on Thursday. The Wildcats just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Franklin-Simpson saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kloie Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Franklin-Simpson's loss dropped their record down to 12-21. As for Greenwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-7 record this season.

Franklin-Simpson will square off against Ohio County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Greenwood, they will face off against Great Crossing on Saturday.
