Basketball Recap: River Comes Up Short

River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 63-56 to the Fort Frye Cadets. Even if the Pilots couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

River's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Fort Frye, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-12.

Coming up, River will host Shadyside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. River is facing Shadyside at the right time seeing as Shadyside is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Fort Frye, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Waterford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
