Basketball Recap: Arthur-Okaw Christian Snags Ninth Victory in Last 11 Games

There's no place like home for Arthur-Okaw Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They strolled past the Urbana University Illineks with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 40-25. The Conquering Riders pushed the score to 35-12 by the end of the third, a deficit the Illineks cut but never quite recovered from.

Arthur-Okaw Christian was led to victory by Brileigh Mast and Avery Herschberger. Mast went 6 for 9 on her way to 15 points, while Herschberger went 6 of 15 en route to 13 points and five steals. Those 15 points gave Mast a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Annabelle Haskins, who posted seven points.

Arthur-Okaw Christian has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Urbana University, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Arthur-Okaw Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Maranatha Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Urbana University, they will face off against Calvary Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
