Basketball Recap: Plainfield North Takes a Loss

Plainfield North suffered their closest defeat since December 26, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners by a score of 61-58. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Tigers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Roadrunners are ranked 290th).

Plainfield North's loss dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Nazareth Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 10-16.

Coming up, Plainfield North will be playing at home against Yorkville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nazareth Academy, they will face off against Wheaton Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
