Football Recap: Bangor Takes a Loss

Bangor lost against Lehighton back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Slaters had to suffer through a 38-7 loss at the hands of the Indians. The Slaters were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 25-0.

Eziah Cartagena threw for 84 yards on six of 11 attempts. Kamal Crockett was his top target, picking up 50 receiving yards and one TD.

Bangor dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lehighton, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bangor is set to face off against their familiar foe Northwestern Lehigh at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lehighton will square off against rival Southern Lehigh at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
