Softball Recap: Grant Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Grant ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by an 18-10 margin over the Reed City Coyotes. Considering the Tigers have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Grant let Lilliana DeLosSantos and Alexa Obenauf run wild. DeLosSantos got on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Obenauf went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylin Hawes, who got on base in three of her six plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Grant's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.8 runs over those games. As for Reed City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Grant beat the Coyotes by a score of 12-4 later that day.
