Softball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Redwood's 12th in Last 15 Outings

After only two runs in their last contest, Redwood made sure to put some runs up on the board against El Diamante on Tuesday. The Rangers were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Miners. The result was nothing new for the Rangers, who have now won seven matches by six runs or more so far this season.

El Diamante's batters probably weren't too happy with Jackie Ramirez, who pitched a no hitter and racked up ten Ks (she gave up two walks).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Rayah Rodriguez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. Alexis Rico was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Redwood has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for El Diamante, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10-1.

Redwood didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 win against Mt. Whitney on the 24th. As for El Diamante, they have also already played their next match, a 5-4 victory against Golden West on the 24th.
