Volleyball Recap: Cornerstone Academy Takes a Loss

Cornerstone Academy came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Oakstone Academy. The Wolves haven't had much luck with Oakstone Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-8, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Cornerstone Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Mariama Fofanah had six digs and four aces. Fofanah has been hot, having posted three or more aces the last five times she's played.

Cornerstone Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Oakstone Academy, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

As of now, neither Cornerstone Academy nor Oakstone Academy have any future games scheduled.
