Softball Recap: Ellet's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to 12

Ellet entered their tilt with Garfield on Monday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Orangemen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Rylie Sprouse made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since April 1st. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Carmen Allen was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Lulu Russell was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI and one double.

Ellet was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .471. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in nine consecutive contests.

Ellet pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Garfield, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
