Season Preview:
Bishop Gorman has set the standard in high school basketball — winning the most consecutive state championships in the nation.

The Gaels enter 2018-19 with a strong returning core and as overwhelming favorites to capture an unprecedented eighth straight Nevada state championship.

The Nevada powerhouse features an abundance of depth at the guard position with Collins, Taitz, Michels and McClendon all expected to see major minutes this season.

Talented junior forward Cottrell also will see an increased role and be expected to be the anchor down low, while talented freshman Allen develops throughout the season.

Bishop Gorman faces a daunting schedule that includes Top 25 showdowns with La Lumiere, Guyer, Sierra Canyon, Findlay Prep and Gonzaga Prep.

This talented young group appears destined for their eighth consecutive state championship as they grow into a cohesive unit throughout the year.
