Basketball Recap: Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush Comes Up Short at Home Against Philadelphia Military Academy

Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Philadelphia Military Academy Lions on Tuesday, falling 45-25. The KNIGHTS were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Philadelphia Military Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hanif Fields, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nasir Lanier McNeil, who posted 15 points and six steals.

Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush and Philadelphia Military Academy will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The KNIGHTS will take on rival Swenson Arts & Tech at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Philadelphia Military Academy is set to face off against their familiar foe Mariana Bracetti Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
