That stolen base was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Austin Lashinsky, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, Southern Fulton put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Everett 18-6. That looming 18-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Indians yet this season.
Austin Mann was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and one stolen base. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Joel Fitz was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Southern Fulton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.
Having lost for the first time this season, Tussey Mountain fell to 3-1. As for Southern Fulton, their record is now 4-0.
Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Tussey Mountain hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .422. However, it's not like Southern Fulton struggles in that department as they've averaged .379. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
