Soccer Game Preview: Princeton vs. North Johnston

The Princeton Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the North Johnston Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a eight-game winning streak alive.

Princeton's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Beddingfield 5-0. Considering Princeton have won five games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Beddingfield from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Meanwhile, North Johnston's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged out Eastern Wayne 1-0.

North Johnston's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for Princeton, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.

Everything went Princeton's way against North Johnston in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Princeton made off with an 8-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Princeton since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
