Softball Recap: Keokuk Comes Up Short

Keokuk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 14-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mt. Pleasant Panthers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since June 3, 2024, but that streak is no more.

Keokuk's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Mt. Pleasant, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Keokuk beat the Panthers by a score of 11-4 later that day.
