Basketball Game Preview: Western Branch Bruins vs. Western Albemarle Warriors

The Western Branch Bruins will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Western Albemarle Warriors at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.

Last Saturday, Western Branch came up short against Manor and fell 54-43. The game marked the Bruins' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Meanwhile, Western Albemarle came tearing into Saturday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 65-56 win over the Pioneers.

This is the second loss in a row for Western Branch and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Western Albemarle, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Western Branch came up short against Western Albemarle in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 62-54. Can Western Branch avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
