Baseball Recap: Van Buren County Starts Season with Loss at Home

Van Buren County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 8-3 to the Sale Creek Panthers on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Sale Creek's victory was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Van Buren County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 5-2 win against Red Boiling Springs on the 13th. As for Sale Creek, they have also already played their next match, a 14-2 loss against North Sand Mountain on the 12th.
