Recap: Severn School Admirals vs. Bryn Mawr Mawrtians
The Severn School Admirals lost to the Bryn Mawr Mawrtians back in February of 2022, but the Severn School Admirals didn't allow the Bryn Mawr Mawrtians the same satisfaction on Friday. Severn School strolled past Bryn Mawr with points to spare, taking the game 47-31. The win made it back-to-back wins for Severn School.
Severn School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from KATIE MENTESANA, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points MENTESANA has scored all season. LAYLA EPPS was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Severn School is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Bryn Mawr, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Severn School will take on Bel Air at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Bel Air is ranked 101st, while Severn School is ranked 124th). As for Bryn Mawr, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Maryvale Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Maryvale Prep is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
