Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Massaponax). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Hylton Bulldogs a 6-0 shutout on Thursday. The Panthers not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024 (when they won 19-0).

Massaponax's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-14. As for Hylton, they moved to 10-5 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Massaponax will challenge Brooke Point at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers are facing the Black Hawks at the right time seeing as the Black Hawks are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Hylton, they will head out on the road to square off against Potomac Senior at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.7 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
