Baseball Game Preview: Medway Mustangs vs. Millis Mohawks

Medway has gone 9-1 against Millis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Mustangs will square off against the Mohawks at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, Medway didn't have quite enough to beat Dover-Sherborn and fell 3-2. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Medway saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Heavner, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Millis might've scored the first runs on Monday, but it was Medfield who claimed the real prize. The Mohawks lost 21-8 to the Warriors.

Hayden Leach was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Will Ferguson was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Millis dropped their record down to 4-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Medway, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Medway was able to grind out a solid victory over Millis when the teams last played back in April, winning 7-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
