Baseball Recap: Caney Comes Up Short

Caney came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Granite, falling 13-3. The Cougars have struggled against Granite recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Caney's defeat dropped their record down to 19-17. As for Granite, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Caney does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granite, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 8-0 loss against Leedey on the 2nd.
