Volleyball Recap: Tift County Comes Up Short

Tift County lost against Richmond Hill back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Devils fell 2-0 to the Wildcats. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tift County was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring eight points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-8.

Richmond Hill was led to victory by Kylee Gilbert and Grace Duffie. Gilbert had 16 digs and two assists, while Duffie had six assists and four aces. Those four aces gave Duffie a new career-high.

Tift County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Richmond Hill, they pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Tift County and Richmond Hill will both be playing Valdosta the next time they take the court. The Blue Devils will head out to face the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Wildcats will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
