Basketball Recap: Shadow Hills Piles Up the Points Against Xavier Prep

There's no place like home for Shadow Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They took their game on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 69-31 win over the Xavier Prep Saints. That looming 69-31 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Knights yet this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shadow Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nate Williams, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Ivan Acosta, who put up 13 points.

With the victory, Shadow Hills broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-9. As for Xavier Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Shadow Hills and Xavier Prep could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Shadow Hills (ranked 580th) will meet Palm Springs (ranked 226th) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Xavier Prep will square off against Rancho Mirage at 5:00 p.m. on Friday down 722 places (1035 vs. 313).
