Volleyball Recap: Lyman Eagles vs. Hillcrest Knights

Lyman is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Hillcrest. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2021.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-16.

Lexie Snyder paced Lyman's offense, picking up four kills. Snyder got some help from Amy Eyre and her nine assists. Snyder was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Hillcrest can attribute much of their success to Ali Maddux, who had 11 digs and two aces. What's more, Maddux posted three assists, the most she's had over her last seven matchups.

This is the second loss in a row for Lyman and nudges their season record down to 8-5. As for Hillcrest, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
