Softball Game Preview: Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes vs. Galesburg Silver Streaks

The Abingdon/Avon Tornadoes will square off against the Galesburg Silver Streaks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Abingdon/Avon and 34 for Galesburg dating back to last season.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Abingdon/Avon's offense. They lost 11-0 to Ridgewood [AlWood/Cambridge] on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Galesburg came up short against Rochester on Saturday, falling 23-2.

Abingdon/Avon's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Galesburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-29.

Abingdon/Avon skirted past Galesburg 9-7 in their previous matchup back in March of 2022. Will the Tornadoes repeat their success, or do the Silver Streaks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
