Baseball Recap: Cocoa Comes Up Short

Cocoa fell victim to Cocoa Beach and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Cocoa Beach Minutemen, falling 37-0. The loss leaves the Tigers still looking for their first win of the season.

Cocoa's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Cocoa Beach, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-6 record.

Looking ahead, Cocoa will square off against Oak Ridge at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Cocoa has given up an average of 23.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Cocoa Beach, they will face off against Melbourne Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Melbourne Central Catholic's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Cocoa Beach's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
